Wai Hnin Pwint Thon, Campaigns Officer at Burma Campaign UK, will be doing a fundraising bungee jump for freedom on Saturday 16th October. Money raised will go to Burma Campaign UK and to help former political prisoners.
Wai Hnin’s father, Mya Aye, is currently serving 65 year jail sentence in Burma for his peaceful political activities. Wai Hnin has led high profile campaigns for the release of all political prisoners in Burma.
Bungee jumping involves jumping into the air from a great height, attached to an elastic rope. Wai Hnin, who is afraid of heights, will be jumping from 160 feet high.
“I am nervous, but determined to go ahead because it will help the campaign to free all political prisoners, as well as helping former political prisoners”, said Wai Hnin. “Please sponsor me making this jump, it will make a difference.”
