Tasaki
Tasaki is a Japanese jewellery company. It has a subsidiary in Burma, Myanmar Tasaki Co. Ltd. This subsidiary is sourcing pearls via the state-owned Myanmar Pearl Enterprise (MPE). Since the attempted military coup on 1st February 2021, MPE is under the control of the military, with revenue going to the military. For this reason, it has been sanctioned by the UK and USA.
