Burma Campaign condolences on the loss of Sir John Mortimer

The Burma Campaign UK is deeply saddened to learn of the loss of Sir John Mortimer, longtime patron of the Burma Campaign UK.

Sir John Mortimer died aged 85 on January 16th 2009, after suffering a prolonged illness.

Sir John Mortimer will be remembered as a friend of the people of Burma, he steadfastly supported the struggle for human rights and democracy in the country.

We would like to express our sincere sympathy to his family.
