There are 466 individuals oppressed in Burma due to political activity. 34 are currently serving prison sentences, 161 are awaiting trial inside prison, 271 are awaiting trial outside prison.
This month, 8 people were sentenced, 86 arrested, 76 charged and 7 released. As a consequence of the continued conflict between the military and the Arakan Army in June, a worryingly high level of ethnic people have been arrested and tortured.
