Help Stop Gas Revenue to the Burmese Military

The Burmese military kills a child every 29 hours on average.

They carry out an airstrike every two and a half hours.*

Gas revenue funds the Burmese military enabling them to carry out these attacks.

We urgently need your help to pressure a European energy company which is helping the Burmese military earn tens of millions of dollars from exploiting gas reserves.

Tomorrow morning (Wednesday 26 August) at 9am UK time SED Energy Holdings will hold a webcast to present their financial results.

At the moment, anyone can register to join the webcast, and you can submit written questions to them to be answered by top executives during the webcast.

This is a great opportunity to pressure SED Energy at an important event for their executives and investors.

SED Energy are registered in Cyprus and listed on a Norwegian Stock Exchange. They have been hired by a Thai oil and gas company to work on the Zawtika Gas field off the coast of Burma/Myanmar. The Burmese military receive profits from the gas field.

SED Energy know that what they are doing is wrong, they avoided mentioning Burma/Myanmar when they announced they had won the contract last year.

So far SED Energy have ignored all letters and emails about the support they are providing to the Burmese military.

We need as many people as possible to register for their webcast and submit written questions for their executives.

Ask them how much blood money they are making from working on the project.

Ask them if they are proud to work on a project that helps fund a military which bombs schools and hospitals.

Ask them why they are comfortable working on a project which funds a military committing war crimes every day.

Ask them why they tried to hide the fact that the gas field they work on is Burmese.

Please register here: https://events.streamhub.no/viewer-registration/z12jpgeA/register

When registering for the webcast you need to enter a company name, you can just say N/A and once you submit that, then you’ll get the option to submit a question.

Just by registering and submitting questions in advance we can make sure they get the message that they can’t quietly help fund the Burmese military and get away with it, as they hoped and tried to do.

We will never stop pressuring them.

Relentless pressure works. Help us keep up the pressure on SED Energy.
