Thaicom
Thaicom is a Thai satellite communications company. It rents satellite capacity to Canal +, which in turns provides broadcasting services for the Burmese military-controlled MRTV propaganda TV channel. In addition to pro-military propaganda and lies which are designed to instil fear in the population, such as images of beaten and injured human rights activists, it also broadcasts content that refers to Rohingya as “Bengali”, a term associated with the military’s genocidal intent by denying Rohingya identity.
Thaicom also carries the MWD Burmese military channels.
