North Petroleum and Chemical Group is a Chinese energy company. In April 2026 it signed a contract to revitalise the Htaukshapin-Kanni onshore oil field, in partnership with Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprise (MOGE). MOGE has been sanctioned by the European Union and USA for its role in funding the Burmese military.
