Pongpipat was removed from the ‘Dirty List’ on 21st January 2022 after then informed us that they were no longer involved in mining in Burma.

Myanmar Pongpipat is a Thai-owned mining company which operates the Heinda Mine in Dawei, Tanintharyi Region. For decades the mine has been linked with human rights violations and environmental destruction, including the forced removal of villages without proper compensation, and ground water contamination which has destroyed wildlife and livelihoods.
