About the company

China General Technology (Group) Holding Ltd/China National Technical Import and Export Corporation (CNTIC)

China General Technology (Group) Holding Ltd is a Chinese state owned company engaged in a wide range of trade and engineering businesses. Its subsidiary, CNTIC, is involved in the Construction of the Upper Kengtawng dam and the Middle Yeywa dam in Shan State. The dams are linked with conflict, human rights violations and environmental destruction. They are opposed by local people.

CNTIC is also co-developer of the LNG port in Thilawa on land leased from the military-owned Union of Myanmar Economic Holdings Ltd.
