Lloyds Register have informed us that they no longer certify Five Star shipping line and have no involvement in the gas industry.

Lloyds Register/Lloyds Register Foundation

Lloyds Register is private British company owned by the Lloyds Register Foundation. It provides certifications and accreditation services to companies in a wide range of sectors, including maritime services and the energy industry.

In Burma it provides services to military owned companies and to the gas industry. Since the military coup on 1st February 2021 revenues from gas go to the military. Certification provided by Lloyds Register is used for insurance purposes and can be essential for securing the insurance required for operations to continue. Lloyds Register does not publish details of companies it provides services to.

It provides accreditation services to the military-owned Five Star shipping line.
